The Standard of "Edge-banded Metal-faced Composite Panels for Construction" Drafted by the Group Has Been Officially Implemented!

In August 2025, the product standard "Edge-Banded Metal-Faced Composite Panels for Construction" (T/CECS 10445--2025) (hereinafter referred to as the "Standard"), issued by the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization and drafted by the China Building Metal Structure Association and Shandong Hongxinyuan Holding Group Co., Ltd., officially came into effect! This standard marks the first release of this product category.

The Standard addresses edge-banded metal-faced composite panel products, which have been widely used in the market for over a decade but lack specific supporting standards. Leveraging its responsibilities as a leading industry player, the Standard spearheaded its drafting and compilation, addressing the lack of a standard to support the design, production, and acceptance of edge-banded composite panel products. This Standard will contribute meaningfully to the development of the industry. As the drafting entity responsible for the Standard, the Group, leveraging its years of R&D expertise in metal enclosure systems, advanced production processes, and extensive national and global engineering experience, served as Chief Editor and was deeply involved in the entire process of research, drafting, verification, and approval.

"Edge-Banded Metal-Faced Composite Panels for Construction"

This standard, a key supplement to the existing national and industry standards, provides a reference for edge-banded composite panel products in terms of raw materials, construction, specifications, and structural calculations. It includes over ten differentiated improvements, particularly for widely used waterproof roll composite panels and single-metal-faced composite panels. Specific standard provisions apply to edge-banded composite panels made of different materials. In particular, it provides recommended calculation formulas for the structural safety limits of single-metal-faced composite panels and the impact of edge-banding on composite panels.

As the lead drafting unit of the "Standard", the Group will: continue to strictly implement the standard to ensure that product performance exceeds technical indicators; expand investment in R&D and innovation, and actively tackle green, low-carbon and intelligent technologies; take the lead in promoting coordinated development of the industry and jointly build a healthy and standardized industry ecosystem.
